Sapien began more than 20 years ago in the yards, when our founder Rob was asked by his father, a livestock producer, to help capture individual animal data more easily and reliably, so it

could be used to make better calls. With no practical tools available, Rob taught himself to code and built a system that worked in real farming conditions. That system became the foundation

of Sapien.

Today, Sapien is shaped by decades of experience across farming, consulting and software development. We work closely with livestock businesses to ensure data is captured accurately,
