Job Summary 

Sapien Technology is an Australian Ag-Tech company dedicated to developing innovative information systems that enhance the productivity and sustainability of agriculture. We are expanding our development team for KoolSoftware — our individual animal management system that helps clients make more informed decisions across the supply chain. 

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with at least 3 years of experience as a full-stack developer and a solid understanding of CI/CD processes. In this role, you’ll contribute to building responsive, scalable web applications, maintain high code quality through unit testing, and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. 

 Collaboration & Communication: 

  • Collaborate UI/UX designers to transform design prototypes into high-quality code. 

  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team discussions to foster a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. 

  • Communicate effectively with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and project goals. 

  • Provide any necessary 3rd Level support on Sapien products 

  • Assist all parts of the business where necessary within the areas of your technical expertise. 

Skills, Technical Requirements: 

  • 3 years of professional experience in full-stack development. 

  • Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks and technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and HTML. React experience an advantage. 

  • Back-end experience using .NET, restful APIs and database systems (SQL and SQL lite) 

  • Comfortable with version control (Git and Azure DevOps) 

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, including unit tests and automated tests 

  • Experience with basic DevOps concepts (CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps). 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. 

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. 

  • Well versed in Agile development methodology
